The crystalline, very fine structure of Kieselgur destroys the protective wax coating of insects upon contact. The insects dry out after about 2–3 days. A significant reduction in pest infestation is observed after about 1–3 weeks. The use of anti-insect Kieselgur is strictly suitable for dry areas.

Application instructions for Anti Insect Kieselgur
Application should only take place in dry areas. Application on wet surfaces delays effectiveness. By applying a light pressure to the bottle, Kieselgur is distributed onto the areas to be treated. After identifying hiding places and runways of the unwanted insects, application with Kieselgur can proceed. Reapplication in dry areas is possible after 7 days.
Note: Not recommended for use on high-quality open-pored surfaces.
Application against creeping insects (e.g., ants, cockroaches)

To close insect entry points, barrier treatment is possible
For this, Kieselgur (7 g/m²) is poured from a short distance onto the floor, creating a dust barrier of about 1–3 cm
Application against red mite in poultry housing:
For treating insects in poultry houses, their surroundings are treated with Kieselgur. Kieselgur must not be applied directly to poultry. The application can be preventive and also curative.
Preventive application:
